Aesthetic Response: Using the Creative Impulse
in Psychotherapy and in Personal Development
September 5th, 2004
Moscow Region, Russia
Aesthetic response is one of the fundamental methods of Expressive Arts Therapy, as defined by the leading experts in the field (Paolo Knill, Steven and Ellen Levine, and others). Using any of the art modalities they feel comfortable with (art, movement, drama, sound, writing, etc.) the participants will be able to respond creatively to the processes in their outer and inner world.
This training is appropriate for psychotherapists, art, drama and dance therapists, and also for anyone who would like to explore their creative potential. You will have a chance to personally experience the transformative power of using the arts. You will learn to:
-
listen to the language of beauty
-
trust your feelings and experiences, and express them creatively
-
respond to live and to the art of your clients creatively
You do not need to be an expert in any art form to participate, as Expressive Arts Therapy is based on a belief that every individual has a creative potential.
